This apprenticeship is planned for an 18 month duration pre End Point Assessment. We have broken down the occupational standard into 6 x 3 month phases that include:
All of our training has also been meticulously designed to meet the requirements of ICAO 10106 Operations Officer competency-based training.
Coordination of technical and operational factors required for successful flights, including weather, route planning, and fuel requirements.
Monitoring flight progress and communicating essential information to ensure safety and efficiency.
Adhering to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations, safety, and operational standards.
Managing flight schedules, liaising with air traffic control, and coordinating multiple flights simultaneously.
Making risk-based decisions to ensure flight safety, address disruptions, and resolve technical issues.
Preparing, reviewing, and filing sector-specific documentation, such as flight plans and route information.
Inputting, monitoring, and analysing flight operation data using aviation systems.
Evaluating weather conditions and their impact on flight operations.
Effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders, including flight crew, air traffic control, and engineers.
Commitment to continuous training and compliance with equity, diversity, and inclusion legislation
This apprenticeship is aimed at employees who are entering the Operations Control environment for the first time.

To complete the apprenticeship you will be assessed by an independent end-point assessment organisation, this assessment includes an observation with questions and a professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence.
Ongoing support and additional training to ensure you are meeting your full potential in the quickest time scale.
Additional training to provide the apprentices with a greater understanding of the industry’s needs and an increase in situational awareness.
Progression from this apprenticeship is expected to be into an Aviation Operations Specialist role with the option to progress to an Aviation Operations Manager role.
